How to Handle Your Problems

HOW TO HANDLE YOUR PROBLEMS Wouldn’t it be great if God showed us some ways to help us face the challenges of life and the tests of faith? Well, He has…

Request:

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

We need to ask for the wisdom needed to survive trials and make the right

decisions.

How often do we blame God for our problems rather than asking Him

to give us wisdom?

Resolve:

James 1:6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

When we ask we need to be bold and not wimpy. Why should the person with the attitude of verse 6 not expect to get anything from God?

Why would God use the example of a wave to illustrate instability?

Can you think about a time when you were like a wave with God?

Relax:

James 1:4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

There’s no need to get uptight because God is finishing His work through our

trials. He wants to get us to the point of not lacking anything. That means we

can handle the tough times and the easy times.

Rejoice:

James 1:2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds…  Why should trials be considered pure joy?How is the joy from a trial different from the joy of a good experience.

There is a promise to give you hope

12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Have a great day.

John
